Why Does A Windows PC Slow Down

When you have owned and used a Windows operated PC for some time you may begin to notice that it is not running as fast as it used to. Or it seems that way anyway. You think back to how thrilled you were with the fast smooth operation of the new machine when you first set it up. Is that just a look back through rose colored glasses so to speak? Was it really as fast as you seem to remember? If it truly was that fast then why has it slowed down now?

Well it is actually true that your PC has slowed down and is more balky than it used to be. This unfortunately is a characteristic of all windows computers. With use over a period of time they will become slower running and will show freezing problems quite often and also the occasional complete crash. You are not looking back through rose colored glasses. Your new computer was actually blazing fast and ran smoothly without frequent freezes.

Why then is this the case? What has made that formerly fast smooth computer slow down so much. Why are you waiting so long for bootup or shutdown? Why is surfing the internet so slow and aggravating as you wait for websites to come up onscreen.

The answer to these questions is that a number of things may come into play. You may have used up most of your hard drive space with numerous downloads. You may be running short on RAM memory. You may have thousands of emails stored in your deleted and sent mail folders. You may have an awful lot of pictures and videos which are big hard drive space users. But most important of all is the thing which is more or less beyond your control --registry bloat.

What is registry bloat? Every Windows PC has a registry which is a huge database of information used by the operating system to run the computer and applications. This is actually the heart of your windows PC which totally controls all operations. If the registry becomes damaged or overloaded, performance of the computer will suffer. Over a period of time, as the computer is used, a huge amount of unnecessary file fragments, obsolete drivers, useless shortcuts, spyware, adware and much more accumulates in the registry. This causes the registry to become overloaded or bloated to the point that the operating system has difficulty in finding the data needed to run the computer. The inevitable consequence is that the operation of the PC slows down noticeably and it becomes balky.

The only way to correct this is to download a
REGISTRY CLEANER from the internet. This tool will remove all the unwanted material from your registry quickly and safely. We tested a number of these registry cleaner tools and found that REGEASY was the best in many respects. This is the registry repair tool we use for our own computers since we found that it located and removed up to 50% more errors than some of the others did. You can get a free scan from REGEASY to correct registry problems.

  5. Very nice post! In my opinion, though there are many ways to fix a slow computer, a registry cleaner can not be missed. It will help to easily detect and then fix any registry errors.
